Wilmington – I have been asked several times why New Castle County has the highest average price. Quick answer – New Construction. The Delaware figures include the new construction along the riverfront.
Two developments count for the bulk of the units. The River Tower at Christina Landing is well under construction and largely sold with one bedroom units that started in the mid $200Ks and continued through the mid $300K+. Other units in the building range above $700,000 each. These units provide great convenience and great views just south of the Christina River.
Across the river, is a totally different type of development in Justison Landing. These are low rise buildings in a new cityscape development with commercial and office development in the same complex. Prices for one bedrooms again start in the mid $200,000 range but can top out over $500,000. Townhomes are projected up to $1.5 million+. Delivery is expected to start in December 2007.
Both developments provide easy access to the city, freeway, and train. Many offer great city and/or river views and all will have easy access to projected new shops and entertaining. As always, if you need any additional info, please contact me anytime.
